Publisher’s Blurb
The publication of the first volume of Nebula A ward Stories earlier this year was quite an event. Chosen by the Science Fiction Writers of America from stories published in the previous year, the volume represented the very best writing in the genre. As the Yorkshire Post had it, “when professional science fiction writers get together to pick the best science fiction stories in a given year, you can be sure that the standard of their choice will be high. So it is with Nebula Award Stories.” We now publish the second volume of stories chosen from the best appearing in 1966. The award for the best novella was given to Jack Vance for The Last Castle, Gordon R. Dickson won the best novelette award with Call Him Lord, while the best short story award went to Richard McKenna’s The Secret Place.
